Do motorised blinds need mains wiring or will battery packs really last?

For most retrofit jobs battery is perfectly sensible — a single charge lasts 12–18 months on a bedroom or living-room drop with normal daily use. We only recommend hard-wired 24V when the window is genuinely inaccessible (high conservatory roofs, stairwell galleries) or during a full renovation when the wiring can go in behind plaster before decoration.

Do you take down existing blinds, tracks or fittings?

Yes. We bring our own dust sheets, take old dressings down, and dispose of them at no extra charge if you don't want them.
