Every blind we sell starts with a free home consultation. One of our team comes to you, looks at how each room is used and measures every window there and then, noting sills, handles, radiators and the depth of each recess, because all of these change where a blind should sit.
We bring fabric and slat samples so you can judge colours in your own daylight. If you would rather browse first, call into the Hythe High Street showroom and try working blinds before anyone visits. Once you have chosen, each blind is made to those measurements rather than trimmed from a stock size, and it is fitted by our own team, not subcontractors. Bespoke blinds start with a measured opening
Made to measure blinds are specified for the width, drop and fitting space at your own window. Bespoke or custom blinds do not simply mean choosing a fabric: the position, control and clearance matter too. A handle that projects into the recess, a tiled edge or furniture beneath the sill can change what fits. At the free home consultation we record those details and compare samples beside the glass, before preparing the written quote.

Almost nobody rings us asking for a fabric by name. They ring because a room is too bright, too cold, too overlooked or too damp. Here is how we work backwards from each of those to a blind, on home visits right across East Kent.
"The glare is unbearable and I still want the view"
A sunscreen roller cuts the harshness while you can still see out, which is why it suits sea-facing rooms and home offices. If the sun moves round through the day, a day and night blind lets you switch between sheer and solid without changing product.
"Nobody in this bedroom sleeps past sunrise"
Blackout fabric is only half the answer; the light that wakes people usually comes round the edges. We look at whether the blind can sit inside the reveal, and specify accordingly. For nurseries we fit cordless options in line with the UK child safety standard.
"The kitchen and bathroom blinds keep going limp"
Steam and cooking grease finish off the wrong fabric quickly. Moisture-resistant rollers, pleated blinds and frame-fitted perfect fit blinds cope far better, and perfect fit needs no drilling into UPVC and leaves no loose cord over a sink.

Roof and side systems are a different discipline from window blinds, and they are measured differently. Done properly they take the edge off summer heat and hold warmth in winter, which is what makes the room usable for more of the year.

Every blind we supply is made to measure, and the measuring happens in your home. At the free home visit our fitter brings the fabric books to your windows, measures each opening and notes anything that affects the fit, then leaves you a written quote. Once you order, the blind is made to those measurements and our own team comes back to fit it.
