Cost guide
What made to measure blinds actually cost
Blind quotes look confusing because two rollers of identical size can differ by triple, and nothing on the fabric book explains why. The answer is almost always the cloth: a plain dim out polyester and a hand finished blackout weave with a matching cassette are different products wearing the same shape.
Here is how we build a blind price, in the order the costs stack up, so you can steer the quote rather than react to it.

Fabric first, mechanism second, extras third
Fabric is the single biggest lever. Within rollers alone you can move from a basic dim out, through solar screen mesh rated for glare, up to a Luxaflex fabric with a proper warranty behind it. Roman blinds cost more again because they are lined, interlined where needed, and hand sewn rather than cut and rolled.
Mechanism comes next. A standard sidewinder chain is included, a cordless spring system costs a little more and is worth it in a nursery, and motorised control with a remote or app sits at the top. Cassettes, side channels and matching pelmets are the third layer of cost and are optional on most windows.
- Vertical blinds remain the cheapest way to dress a very wide patio or office window.
- Faux wood Venetians cost less than real timber and behave better in a steamy room.
- Perfect fit frames add a little cost but save drilling on uPVC and conservatories.
- Blind Screens and Luxaflex ranges are priced separately because the warranties differ.
Buying a whole house at once
Doing the house in one order is usually the cheapest route per window, because there is one survey, one delivery and one fitting day. It also keeps the colour temperature consistent, which matters more than people expect when a hallway blind is visible from the living room.
If the budget will not stretch, we would rather you spent it properly on the two rooms you use most than thinly across seven. That advice has never lost us a customer.
What is included in every price we give
Every quote includes measuring by the person who will be responsible for the fit, delivery, installation by our own employed fitters, removal of packaging, and the 5 year warranty on the installation.
We do not add call out charges, congestion fees or a separate measuring fee. The number on the quote is the number you pay.
