Clip-in window blinds
Perfect Fit blinds, supplied and fitted
Perfect Fit blinds sit inside their own slim frame, attached to a suitable uPVC window bead without drilling into the window. The blind travels with the sash, which can make it a useful choice for inward-opening or tilt-and-turn windows. We supply and fit made-to-measure systems after checking the frame during a free home consultation.
Perfect Fit names the fitting system, not one particular fabric. Choosing it means making two decisions: whether the bead and clearances can accept the frame, and which blind inside that frame gives the light control you want. We assess both before recommending an order.
Book the frame check, not just a width measurement
A window may look suitable in a photograph but have a bead profile that prevents the brackets seating properly. We inspect the gasket, bead depth and space around the glass. Handles, vents and the movement of the sash also need attention. The whole opening should remain usable with the proposed blind in place, including the positions in which you normally ventilate the room.
Tell us whether the window is uPVC, whether it opens inwards and whether anything already catches when it moves. Avoid ordering from the glass dimensions alone. Timber, composite and unusual frame profiles should not be treated as standard clip-in applications; if the system is unsuitable we can discuss another fitting method.

Select pleated fabric or tilting slats
A pleated blind gives a fabric surface that folds within the frame. An aluminium Venetian offers small horizontal slats that tilt to alter the view and light. Consider whether you want to soften the window as one surface or adjust the angle through it. Samples make that distinction easier to judge beside the glass where the product will actually sit.
In a room with steam or splashes, discuss the material and its cleaning requirements rather than assuming every framed blind behaves alike. Aluminium slats can be wiped; pleated fabric should be handled more gently. If darkness is your priority, discuss the fabric and the remaining edges separately. A clip-in frame by itself is not a promise of total blackout.
Plan around opening and cleaning the window
The appeal of attaching a blind to the moving sash is that you do not normally have to lift a separate hanging blind out of its way. That still depends on the actual handle and hinge clearance. During the visit, explain how far you need the window or door to open and whether nearby walls or furniture already limit its movement.
The frame can be unclipped to reach the glass for cleaning. Ask how the selected model releases and reconnects rather than pulling at a corner. A removable blind needs to go back onto correctly seated brackets; if it feels loose or sits crooked, stop and have the fitting checked instead of forcing it into position.
A no-drill choice still needs permission and care
For a rented property, agree the proposed fitting with the landlord or agent even when it avoids screws. For a new window, check any relevant window-maker instructions. We do not assume that a particular tenancy or window warranty automatically permits a product, and a compatibility assessment is not a substitute for those requirements.
Our consultation includes measuring and samples, with a written quote for the agreed selection. You can visit the Hythe High Street showroom first if you prefer to compare styles before arranging a measure. Fitting is by our own team across East Kent excluding Thanet. Blinds usually take 2 to 3 weeks from ordering, with your chosen system and fitting date discussed before proceeding.
