Do motorised blinds need mains wiring or will battery packs really last?

For most retrofit jobs battery is perfectly sensible — a single charge lasts 12–18 months on a bedroom or living-room drop with normal daily use. We only recommend hard-wired 24V when the window is genuinely inaccessible (high conservatory roofs, stairwell galleries) or during a full renovation when the wiring can go in behind plaster before decoration.

Do you handle awkward shapes like arched or octagonal windows?

Yes. We've cut shutters to fit arches, octagons, sloped reveals and stair-window angles across Lyminge. Anything geometric, we'll template on the survey.

How are vertical blinds cleaned and maintained?

Most need only a soft brush, microfibre cloth, or vacuum-brush attachment monthly. Fabric blinds can be spot-cleaned; shutters and wooden blinds wipe down with a barely-damp cloth.
