How our roman blinds are built
Roman blinds give the soft, fabric look of a dressed window with the precision of a blind. They're our most popular choice for living rooms and master bedrooms where the window dressing needs to feel like part of the furniture, not just a covering.
Every Roman is hand-made: fabric is cut, lined and rod-pocketed in the workroom, then mounted onto an aluminium headrail with a smooth chain operation. Choose from blackout linings for bedrooms or interlining for an extra-luxurious finish.
What makes the install last
- Stainless and brass fixings only — no plated steel into damp reveals.
- Fabrics matched to room conditions (steam, light, traffic).
- Tracks and headrails sized to the actual drop, not the nearest size up.
- Brackets fixed into substrate, not into render or lath.
Local considerations that affect the quote
- Reveal depth at all four corners — most Deal period reveals are out by 5–15 mm.
- Existing trickle vents and how the dressing will clear them.
- Window operating direction — top-hung, side-hung, sash — to choose the right fixing.
- Headroom above the frame for cassette systems or stack-back on bi-folds.
