Arched windows: templated, not approximated
Arched windows are the ones customers have usually given up on. High street chains cannot supply them, off-the-shelf does not exist, and the fallback is a piece of film or nothing at all.
Shaped shutters solve it properly, but only if the arch is templated on site — because almost no arch in a real building is a perfect segment of a circle.

Templating the arch
We take a physical or digital template of the actual opening rather than working from a radius. Settlement in older Kent properties means one side of an arch is often 5–10mm out from the other, and a manufactured-to-radius panel would show that gap immediately.
The template goes to the manufacturer with the panel layout, so what arrives matches your opening rather than a drawing.
Fixed or operable arches
Two decisions determine the price and the look.
- Fixed sunburst — louvres radiate from a centre point, decorative, does not open
- Fixed horizontal louvre arch — matches the louvre line of the panel below
- Operable arch — louvres tilt within the shaped frame, the most expensive and most useful
- Arch top over a full-height lower panel — the most common configuration we fit
Gothic, eyebrow and angled tops
The same templating approach covers gothic points, eyebrow arches, angled apex windows in loft gables and circular portholes. If it can be templated it can be made.
