Typical timings

Most blinds run two to four weeks from survey, depending on fabric availability. Painted hardwood shutters typically run six to eight weeks. Specialist shaped, motorised or RAL colour matched shutter orders can reach ten to twelve.

The survey itself is usually within a week of you accepting the quote, and fitting is booked at the point the goods land with us rather than speculatively.

• Blinds: 2 to 4 weeks from precision survey.
• Standard shutters: 6 to 8 weeks.
• Shaped, arched, circular or motorised shutters: 10 to 12 weeks.
• Repairs and replacement parts: often within days, subject to component supply.

What slows an order down

Changing a colour after survey restarts the clock. So does a building change: if a plasterer is still working on the reveal, we cannot survey it, and surveying it anyway is how gaps happen.

Shaped work takes longer because it is templated and hand finished. That is also why it looks right, and why so few companies offer it at all.

Working to a deadline

Tell us the date at the first visit. If a shutter will not make it, we will say so and, where it helps, fit a temporary blind on the critical windows so the house is usable while the shutters are made.
